When looking for a name for our agency, we were exploring the concepts of visual energy.
We believe that vibrant photographs can help improve or change the perception of a brand and create a visual energy on a press kit, website or a presentation.
We were looking at different options that were easy to remember and spell, as well as available as a british domain name (.co.uk) in a minimum of letters to avoid any traffic loss on the website.
From the energy concept, we came up with the name “kalory”. We liked the visual effect of the “k” and the “y” associated together. It was available as a .co.uk domain name. There it was, The Kalory Agency was created with the following definition to explain the concept:
{KALORY} – n – (Communication & Photography / Energy Units) – A unit of creative energy: defined as a quantity of vibrant images required to raise rapidly the social media presence and the visual impact of a brand, a retailer or an influential individual under ever changing market conditions.
